Welcome to the webpage for group 6, the "Universally Accessible Garden!"
For our project we aim to make growing vegetables in your own home accessible to everyone. Methods for obtaining produce year-round pose an accessibility problem. Currently, there are products that allow for growing produce indoors year-round, but they are either prohibitively expensive or complicated. The goal of this project is to create an indoor hydroponic garden that can run year-round, be cost efficient and user friendly. To achieve this, we researched almost all aspects of hydroponic gardening, and designed what we believe is a prototype that fits this bill. Due to the unpredictable circumstances that cut the school year short, we were unable to build a prototype or flesh our certain aspects of the project. Despite this, our final report describes exactly how we would have built such a prototype and exactly how it would have functioned.
