Research

My research is focused on furthering our understanding of brain development among healthy children and those with pathological conditions using advanced computational and statistical techniques combined with medical imaging. Current research is focused on healthy brain development, autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and multiple sclerosis through analysis of medical images and technological development. Technical research topics include machine learning, novel biomarker/measurement extraction techniques, pattern recognition, image fusion and technology evaluation. MRI technologies relied upon in research include T1 volumetric MRI, diffusion tensor imaging, perfusion imaging, pH sensitive MRI, contrast enhanced MRI and more.
