Dr. Amoako-Tuffour is a Professor in the Economics Department of St. Xavier University.

Obtained B.A (Hons): First Class (Economics and Commerce), and Masters (Economics) degrees from Simon Fraser University
and Ph.D. from University of Alberta.

I started at St. F. X. in August 1990, and before that at the University of Alberta.

Research:

My interest in economics spans several areas. My current research is in the area of debt management, public finances and poverty alleviation in Ghana. I am interested in monetary economics, public finance, and the institutions of economic management.

International Link: I spend most of my summers as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Policy Analysis, Ghana  or

in the Policy Analysis Division of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Ghana
