Read the sections on Problem Solving, Reasoning & Proof, Communication, Connections, and Representations in Chapters 3 and 7 of the NCTM Principles and Standards Document (On reserve in resource center or through use of the free on-line trial). You will each be assigned a section to read in class on Sept.13 so that we can share the reading load.
