TEACHING IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ADULT EDUCATION
I have taught in the Department of Adult Education since September, 2007. The Master of Adult Education (MAdEd) degree is taught primarily by distance, to students all across Canada and beyond; this program is delivered through one-on-one tutorials, Blackboard Online learning system courses, and telephone, facsimile, electronic mail, and in person. I currently advise 35 students, using all of these delivery methods. As a distance program, new students attend a 3 week orientation to the MAdEd program (Foundations Institute). In addition to on-to-one teaching, therefore, I am involved in planning and co-teaching these Foundations Institutes.
