Alexander Neil MacIsaac

Alexander Neil MacIsaac was the brother of John Allan MacIsaac.  He fought in the militia in the Fenian Raids.  This house site was abandoned earlier than the brother’s across the brook.

This is a very well preserved cellar.  It is a long rectangle with the longer sides oriented east-west.  It has two cellar entrances, one narrow one on the north into what looks like a “porch” and a larger one to the west.  The house had two chimneys that no doubt emerged along the ridgeline.  Their bases are in near perfect condition.  The main doorway faced south.
