MacMillan, Angus (Eigg Mountain Settlement History)

 

Angus MacMillan (b.1821-1891-) married x …”south” of Robert Power’s land [see Deed 502484287] 1878.  (“South” on this deed appears to mean east-southeast – an error aided by the use of magnetic north in place of true north.  See historic declinations)  That would be on the other side of Power’s Brook from “Old” Donald MacMillan

William MacMillan (b.1853-1891-)

Allan MacMillan (b.1855-1891-)

Donald MacMillan (b.1851-1891-)

Mary MacMillan (b.1848-1891-)

 

I suspect that this is the A. MacMillan on the Church Map.  I also suspect (from the deed) that he may have acquired Big Archie Macdonald’s land.
