Remember to believe the statistics! For the experiment on the right, if six flies were on the blue side and three on the red, the calculated of Chi-square would not beat the critical value of Chi-square, so you would fail to reject the null (what is the null?). This means the results are inconclusive, it does not mean, "Flies have no colour preference."

Traps: For each trap, be able to name it and determine which of the behaviours we studied would cause an insect to be caught in that trap. Insects are sometimes attracted to a trap (how?), after which they are hand-picked.
