You can use this simulation to check that it is always a good idea to merge into a Stackelberg leader in an environemnt with linear demand and common costs.

                            perfect competition

You may want to use this file to practice with inversion of demand and supply curves and their aggregation when they
have different intercepts (Ryan Lukeman designed the file)

Homework

Download the files, solve the exercises and return them by the due date. After the submission deadline, generic suggested answers will be posted. If you have trouble understanding them, or you feel your answer was way different from mine, come and see me as soon as possible!!!!

I will individually grade 3 of these sets of exercises (I will let each of you pick which three you want for yourselves) and they will add up to 30% of your final mark. However, that mark will be weighted according to the proportion of homework pieces submitted.

Homework must be wordprocessed. If you need to draw graphs I will accept your drawing them by hand, but the text must be written with a computer. This will help you keep a record of your work and make it easier for you to update it as you prepare for the exams.

The assignments must be submitted in class in time, no exceptions.
