Short Biography

I grew up on a large dairy farm in Mabou: a small picturesque village on the west coast of Cape Breton Island. Mabou is home to a number of notable artists and musicians. Located, just outside of Mabou is the only single malt whiskey distillery in North America, see the website of the Glenora Distillery for more details.

After finishing Highschool in Mabou I proceeded to Saint Mary's University for my undergraduate degree, and then on to Dalhousie University where I graduated with a Ph.D. in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in 1995. Since September of 1995, I have been a professor of mathematics in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science at St. F.X..
