My research

I am the author of four books, over twenty edited collections of scholarly essays, some 100 articles and encyclopedia articles, and have a number of other publications. My work has been published in English, French, German, Polish, Farsi, Castilian, Gallego, and Chinese.

In 2004, I gave the Principal William Miller Endowment Lectures at the University of Madras, and I also held the Lokuang Chair of Philosophy and Culture at Fu Jen University in Taipei, Taiwan. In 2009, I held the Stanislaw Kaminski Lectureship in the Catholic University of Lublin, Poland.
