The programme committee announces a graduate student essay
competition for papers to be presented at the symposium, "Religion,
Philosophy, and the Question of a Clash of Cultures" (to be
held May 31-June 1, 2010 in Montreal, Quebec, in association with the
Congress
of Social Sciences and Humanities). Two prizes will be awarded,
one
for the best paper in English and one for the best paper in
French.
Each prize will consist of 150 dollars, a book and some financial
support
to attend the conference.
Abstracts (of no more than 250 words), together with a title and a
short curriculum vitae, must be submitted by October 21, 2009. Papers
must be submitted by February 1, 2010. The Committee prefers that
papers be submitted electronically, although print copies will be
accepted.
Le comité organisateur du colloque "Migrating texts and traditions in
philosophy" annonce un concours d'essais pour
étudiant(e)s de deuxième et troisième cycle.
Le colloque se tiendra le 31 mai et le 1 juin 2010 lors du
congrès annuel du Congrès des sciences sociales et
humaines. Il y
aura deux prix, un pour le meilleur essai en anglais et un pour le
meilleur
essai en français. Chaque prix inclut: 150 dollars, un
livre,
et un certain appui financier pour participer au Congrès.
Les
textes seront de préférence soumis par courriel et seront
rédigés en Word ou Wordperfect. Ils doivent être
accompagnés
d'un résumé d'une page (250 mots).
