In early 2000, The Canadian Philosophical Association and the Canadian Society of Christian Philosophers invited Dr Alvin Plantinga—John A. O'Brien Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Center for Philosophy of Religion at the University of Notre Dame—to participate in a symposium on his latest book, Warranted Christian Belief.
Three members of the Canadian philosophical community were also asked to participate in the round table, each giving a short 15-20 minute paper—after which Dr Plantinga responded and answred questions from the audience.
The participants were : Professors J.J. MacIntosh (University of Calgary), Richard Davis (Tyndale College, Toronto), and Jill LeBlanc (McMaster University). Professor William Sweet (St Francis Xavier University) chaired the session.
The participants, and Professor Sweet, have kindly allowed the CSCP to publish their papers here.
