What is X Pride?

This is a support and community group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer, questioning and ally students at St. FX. If you have questions or concerns, or just looking for some great people to hang out with, get in touch with X-PRIDE.

This is a peer based group where your sexual or gender orientation can be explored safely, with the support of other Xaverians.

This group is confidential and respect for everyone's privacy and confidentiality will be upheld.

Our Mission

The purpose of this society is to provide lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, transsexual, two-spirited, gender variant, intersexed, queer individuals and those who support them with advocacy and education.

Education

X-Pride is committed to educating the St. Francis Xavier University faculty and student body, as well as the surrounding Antigonish community about queer issues. We do this through pride awareness activities and special events. Plus, we have tons of resources in our office so come and check them out!

Support/Advocacy

X-Pride offers a safe and accessible space for queer students and allies to meet. The office has resources and listings for other queer/queer-positive services for additional support. As well as peer support, there is currently one LGBT student advisor, Chris Frazer. Xpride organizes a number of social and educational events, including a pride week, drag show, movie nights, and much more!
