Introduction to Psychology

Course Description:

A survey of the major topics of psychology and an introduction to the methodology of psychological research. Students are normally expected to be involved with ongoing research in the department by participating in experiments as subjects during the course of the academic year.

 

Course Objectives:

1. To increase awareness of how basic psychological processes apply to              everyday life.

2. To familiarize students with the terminology, concepts and theories of              psychology.

3. To help students develop the skills needed to independently investigate              psychological information and communicate their results effectively.
