Two Zograscopes are set up here for viewing 18th-century copper-plate engravings (vues d'optique). Note how the engravings are placed at the base of the viewer and upside-down. Reflected in the diagonal mirror, they appear right-side-up. Amy, Jillian and Sarah are investigating the properties of these devices as well as an optical theatre (background left).
