Curly Dan MacGillivray

This is a spot in the Big Marsh area west of the Glebe Road and south of MacIsaac’s Marsh.  Charlie says it was a famous farm belonging to Curly Dan MacGillivray.  The Church Map indicates a D. MacDougall here and an S. MacPherson just to the south, but no MacGillivrays.  He indicated a connection with the Sommers of Sommer’s Road which I will have to check.

We didn’t measure the cellar or foundation.  The cellar is well rocked and has an apple tree growing on its east wall.
