Mooney grants

 

Grants to John Mooney, Andrew Mooney, James Mooney, Andrew Mooney Jr. and John Casey 1000 acres of land situated lying and being at Antigonish in the County of Sydney in the following tracts or lots to wit:

…unto said John Mooney that certain lot marked number one on the next plan.  …unto the said Andrew Mooney that certain lot marked number two on the said plan

…unto the said James Mooney that certain lot marked number three containing in each of said lot's numbers 1, 2 and three 200 acres

…and the same are abutted and bounded as follows that is to say:

…beginning at fir tree marked JM in the South East angle or corner of Andrew MacGillivarys farm lot

…from thence to run south 94 chains 75 links or until it comes to a fir tree marked A. M. and J. M. on the Northern line of the Hartshorn grant so-called

…Thence along that line south 88° East 55 chains,

…thence north 52 chains, thence north 83° East 11 chains

…thence North 62 chains 25 links

…thence south 83° West 66 chains 75 links or until it comes to the place of beginning

…containing in the whole of said Lott's numbers 1,2, 3 600 acres according to the annexed plan.

 

Unto the said Andrew Mooney Jr., that certain lot marked number four on the annexed plan containing 200 acres which is abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

… and beginning in the northeastern angle of John Kickham’s lot

…from thence to run north 83° East 65 chains,

…thence North 32 chains 50 links to Donald Mc Cochran farm lot

…thence south 83° West 65 chains,

…thence South 32 chains 50 links or until it comes to the place of beginning according to the annexed plan,

 

And unto the said John Casey that certain lot marked number five on the annexed plan containing 200 acres situated in the fifth division Tracadie…
