That your petitioners are natives of the north of Ireland, immigrated to this province about two months since... your petitioner Andrew is about 58 years of age, has a wife and nine children in this province, your petitioner John is about 26 years of age and is a single man, your petitioner James is about 24 years of age and has a wife, your petitioner Andrew Jr. is about 20 years of age, your petitioner Andrew Mooney had obtained a plan of land situated between the mountain road of Antigonish in the Gulf shore from W. Frazier... deputy surveyor... is traveled over several places that are marked vacant and which have been pointed out to him by John MacGillivary a resident there

William Dalton, labourer …your petitioner is a native of Ireland and landed in this province about six weeks since, is aged about 36 years and is married... has been informed that there is vacant land, which is not claimed by any person, situated on the back settlement at Knoydart Gulf shore... near land lately located to Patrick Sullivan and J Kickham.
