John Brown

 

Name and position indicated by Archibald (Bernie) MacIsaac on his 1952 topographic map (July 7, 2006, Cape George).  Bernie indicated John Brown, but the Church map has a D. Brown close to this spot.  Charlie Teasdale disputes whether it is a Brown at all.

 

We located the foundation in heavy rain, so only estimated its dimensions as 30 by 30 ft, with a central chimney, a half cellar along the west (?) wall and cellar stairs at the southwest corner on the south wall.
