the Internet, 2nd Edition, by
Ann Heide & Linda Stillborne
DISKS: 3 High Density 3.5 in. disks
COURSE OBJECTIVES:

become confident in the basic skills required to communicate
using e-mail , listservs, and usenet
-
Review of word processing, spreadsheets, and File Management
- for preparing tests, worksheets, keeping grades
-
carry out Internet searches and construct Web Pages for instructional
use.

study some of the major issues involved in the Integration
of Computers into the Curriculum
-
review and select computer software and WWW resources appropriate
to major and minor teachable subjects.

improve professional productivity and ability to use
IT appropriately in the classroom.

Using the Internet, students will prepare a portfolio of
teaching resources in their own subject areas and education in general..
EVALUATION:
Assignments and Class participation via class discussion
forum 15% - Late assignments: 25% off for every day late.
Portfolio: 85% (Qualified students may opt to take part
in an Inservice Learning project in partial fulfillment of portfolio)

ATTENDANCE
Students are expected to attend all classes and attendance will be taken.
The Education Department Chair will be contacted if any student has
excessive unexcused absences.
