Aesthetically Appealing 0 pts. -background is gray or garish- legibility suffers- few or no graphic elements 1 pt - there is some use of graphic elements- text is legible 2 pts- Page is very attractive - background and graphics well coordinated and quick to load.  
Motivational 0 pts - purely factual with no appeal to engage the learner 1 pt. - relates to learner's interests- poses a compelling question or problem 2 pts - process engages the learner and keeps her/his interest  
Usefulness 0 pts - could be done just as well without a computer -trivial subject matter 2 pt - meaningful content - requiring Web resources 4 pts -  task is difficult to convey by any other means - utilizes Web resources very well  
Interdisciplinary 0 pts - only one content area  1 pt - 2 content areas 2 pts - 3 or more content areas  
Higher order thinking 0 pts - task requires simple reading and answering questions 2 pt -task requires analysis, comparison and/or classification of information from several sources 4 pts - task requires the learner to synthesize, hypothesize or go beyond the data given

Evaluation 0 pts - does not attempt evaluate the learner 1 pt - some kind of measure of success is provided or implied - such as a review or questions 2 pts - criteria for success are clearly stated in the form of a rubric for evaluation by self, or teacher - online quiz or activity  
17-20 points - Excellent
13-16 points - Very Good
9-12 points -  rough spots
