Precision Shooting

I’ve been taking part in ISSF 10m air pistol precision shooting since September 2024. I use a Steyr LP2 as my air pistol, which is pictured above.

In an air pistol competition, all athletes participate in two qualifying relays of 60 shots each, with a relay consisting of six series of 10 shots each. The top eight overall athletes then advance to the finals, which follow an elimination format: all athletes shoot two series of five shots each, then the lowest-scoring athlete is eliminated after each pair of subsequent shots.

Shooting air pistols and competing in precision shooting events is a great way to improve your physical strength, to hone your mental acuity and concentration, and to meet all kinds of friendly people. If you’re interested, feel free to reach out; I’d be happy to talk!

My qualifying personal best is 518 (May 10, 2025), while my final personal best is 149.2 (November 3, 2024). The table below summarizes my competitive record to date.
