Outreach Activities for collaborative work with health professionals with the StFX school of Nursing (Prof, Heather Jewers, Prof Cara Stewart and Dr. Margie MacDonald) and with a number of professionals from GASHA including Madonna MacDonald, VP Community Services; Charlene Porter, Manager Palliative Care; Jane MacDonald, Manager Seniors Program, Dr. Mary Gorman, and others over the past 5 years have been critical in setting up and continuing the ACOA AIF project Building Workflow Systems for Decision Support for Healthcare for which I am Principle Investigator.
Outreach and involvement with industry partners as collaborators in the above mentioned AIF project have resulted in a fruitful and ongoing collaboration with Palomino Innovation Systems Inc. A Pilot Implementation of software to provide improved health services delivery is scheduled to begin in Summer of 2010.
