Chapters 1, 2 & 3

• Briefly look at Chapter 1 - take some time to focus on the section on the NCTM Principles and Standards pp. 4-9.

• In chapter 2 focus on what it means to do mathematics pp.17-19, you can peruse the section on problems most of which we looked at in class, and then read the brief section on helping students do mathematics on p.25.

• Read all of chapter 3.
