Creating a New Line and Closing Text Boxes

The default way to create a new line in a caption text box is to type Return. The default way to create a new line in an atom label is to type Option+Return. To close the text box, click outside the text box or select another tool.

To change the default do the following:

1. From the File menu, choose Preferences.

NOTE: In Mac OS X, the Preferences dialog box is found on the ChemDraw menu.

2. On the General tab, choose the appropriate option:

To change the default for ...	Select ...
Atom Label text	Require Option+Return to Create New Line in Atom Labels.
Caption text	Require Option+Return to Create New Line in Captions.

3. Click OK.
