This is a concave mirror viewer intended to enhance the 3D effect of photographs. It is an example of an "optical machine " and is included in the Optical Machine Taxonomy.
It comes in a small cardboard box on the front of which is inscribed: “Gives an enlarged view of your snapshots and a striking stereoscopic effect.”
This viewer was made by Ensign Ltd. an English camera manufacturer active from 1930 to 1942.
