This indenture made at Antigonish April 7, 1861 between Robert Power, Eigg Mountain and Katherine Power (nee MacEachern), his wife, and Laughlin MacEachern of Eigg Mountain, and Ann MacEachern (Laughlin's wife), all of the one part and Angus Gillis of Arisaig(?) to the other part

…for the sum of $100

 

Bounded as follows

…on the north by lands of, or in the possession of, Donald MacMillan and Aaron Harrington

…on the south by un-granted or vacant land and land in possession of John McEachern and others [there is only one John MacEachern in the vicinity so far, but he is to the north of Harrington’s grant]

…on the east by land in the possession of Hugh MacMillan

…and on the west by un-granted or vacant land containing in the whole of the lots hereby described and intended 500 acres more or less
