Gillis Shed (Eigg Mountain Settlement History)

 

Just below the G. P. Gillis house site there are remains of a small stone foundation that may have been for a shed or workshop.  We found an old cast iron pot and a broken grindstone at this spot.

Please leave this and any other artefacts as you found them so that other visitors can enjoy them or researchers learn from them.  Also note that “heritage objects,” or artefacts of historical value, are protected by Nova Scotia law.
