The final exam is SATURDAY, April 18, 9am in NH146.   It is a 2.5 hour exam (but you can have up to 3 hours).  You can bring a calculator.  You will be provided with the axioms for vector spaces and the details for the Gram-Schmidt algorithm.  It will have 15 true-false questions for 30 points and written answer questions for 70 points, for a total of 100.  It will cover all sections that we have done:

• Chapter 5  Independence and Basis in Rm  ,Sections 1-4
• Chapter 6  Vector Spaces, Sections 1-4, 8
• Chapter 7  Linear Transformations, Sections 1-3, 7
• Chapter 8  Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors, Sections 1, 2

• Exam from 2009 (don't worry about TF 2,13, long answer 4, 7, 11, 19, 20)
• Exam from 2008 (don't worry about TF 4,5,7,9, 14, 15 and in 13 skew symmetric means a matrix is equal to the negative of its transpose, for long answer don't worry about 2, 5, 6d, 10, 16c
