Pasting SMILES from Clipboard

If you have a SMILES string, then you can automatically convert that text string into a ChemDraw structure.

To paste a SMILES string as a ChemDraw structure:
1. Select the SMILES string using the Text tool.
2. From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
3. From the Edit menu, point to Paste Special, and then choose SMILES.
The SMILES string is drawn as a structure.
NOTE: Pasting SMILES uses the same routines as the Structure CleanUp command. For more information, see "Using Variable Attachment Positions".
